This one day, IOP-sponsored workshop will focus on the biophysics of the cytoskeleton and cell membrane in health and disease, with a particular focus on combining modelling and experimental approaches. The day will involve a mix of talks and discussion, with the purpose of initiating new research and collaborations.

Proposed topics include: Membrane shape during phagocytosis The role of actin in endocytosis Shape dependence of engulfment Nanoparticle drug design The role of the cytoskeleton in phagocytosis
